MARK BEATSON

You rarely see Mark Beatson without a smile on his face, he has an attentive listening ear with a warm and generous nature. The current chairman of the Betacraft board of directors is extremely passionate about his role as export director. Sharing his spot at the helm with two of his three brothers, he is instrumental in managing and developing the export portion of the business. 

Mark started his career at Betacraft working in the warehouse, he then moved into domestic sales, a role he held for 15-20 years. In 2003 he took up the position as General Manager, a position he had until he passed the baton to his youngest brother roughly 3 years ago. Today Mark now also works alongside two of his four children at Betacraft, and is excited about the future trajectory of the business with an enthusiastic next generation being woven into the business and extensive unknown opportunities in terms of product R&D. 

How long have you worked at Betacraft?
Since 1987, so 36 years! 

What’s your favourite part about working at Betacraft?
It’s a hive of activity and there is a huge amount of positive energy in our team they’re a great bunch.

What are your favourite pastimes?
Spending time with my family and grandchildren, supporting the community and charity work and last but not least mowing my lawns on my ride-on mower. This makes for great thinking time!

Which is your favourite Betacraft product?
The ISO940 range, because of its innovations and it’s uniqueness in the market.

Best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Keep humble and regard your people as your greatest asset.
